As an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, you are responsible for the proper installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of our electronic systems.
Using measuring instruments and a laptop, you undertake function testing and conduct troubleshooting. If necessary, you make modifications to circuits or replace components. These tasks are particularly diverse for us because, in addition to the usual signalling, communication, and lighting electronics, we maintain high-tech machinery for film coating, automated systems for adhesive production and shipping preparation, and our own combined heat and power plant.
Furthermore, you are part of the team that advises other departments during the modification or construction of systems, designs the electronics, and puts the plans into action, from circuit diagrams and distribution to system programming, cable laying, and operator instruction. You can already see that organizing and co-ordinating and liaising with other departments and external service providers is also part of your job.

- You are part of the maintenance department team.
- Your instructor will teach you step by step everything you need to know about the installation, maintenance, and repair of our systems.
- You will familiarize yourself with topics such as measurement, control, and regulation technology and learn how to handle high-voltage systems.
- We will teach you how to efficiently organize your work and the vitally important safety precautions in the electronics field.
- You will have the opportunity to get a glimpse into the field of mechatronics, allowing you to gain interdisciplinary experience.

Your training at POLIFILM
Within the company, internal training workshop, and vocational training
Your apprenticing company is POLIFILM PROTECTION MANUFACTURING GmbH & Co.KG. Your training will normally last for 3.5 years, however, this maybe reduced to 3 years as a result of excellent performance. You will be deployed within the company and gain experience and training in different departments. In vocational schooling, you will learn important background knowledge and theoretical foundations. During your training, you will keep a digital report book and work closely with your trainers.
